This weekend we went on a trip to Ikea in Southampton and bought a new bed for my daughter, drove home in the most awful weather with the boot of the car not completely shut and part of the new bed stuck out the back and then proceeded to dismantle her old metal-framed high-bunk/desk combo before collapsing in a heap for bed.

In the morning some housework before Mrs Stitchy went to do overtime at work (unfortunately for me all the work is now complete and there will be no more paid overtime…) leaving Mr Stitchy to construct the new bed. It’s complete and gorgeous and daughter is sleeping in it as I type!
